Introducing Biddeford Chiropractor Dr. Paul Newton
I was born and raised in Brunswick, Maine. After graduating from Brunswick High School, I attended St. Joseph’s College in Standish where I completed the Physical Education Program and met my wife Olivia. After teaching positions in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Yarmouth, Maine, I decided that health care was a field of much interest.
After investigating many fields in the health industry, I was shocked to learn that what we call health care is actually "sick care."
Simply put – "Sick care" focuses on suppressing symptoms rather than improving the overall function of the body and addressing the cause of the health problems.
Chiropractic, as I learned was different and has a simple philosophy. Our bodies are self healing and self regulating. We were born with everything we need to be and stay healthy.
Now before I go on it is essential to mention that many people, including myself many years ago, frequently think of chiropractors as back doctors because we work on the spine. You know, eye doctors work on the eye, foot doctors on the foot, etc. In Chiropractic, that frame of reference is incorrect! The spine is simply what we work on to improve the function of your nervous system – which is our main concern. By definition, your nervous system controls every part of your body and if there is interference affecting your nervous system, whatever is at the other end of those nerves is not going to function optimally. Chiropractors find these spinal problems, called subluxations, and correct them through adjustments to help you function better. When you function better a wide variety of health concerns improve – without drugs, needles, or surgery!
I have had the experience of working with and helping thousands of people achieve higher levels of health and wellness – from newborns to our oldest patient of 92 years (age is not a factor!!) Our office procedures are simple – we do our best to determine what is going on in your spine and nervous system. We give you a written 5 – 7 page report of our findings and recommendations. We will explain what the problem is, what can be done about it, how long it will take, how much it will cost, and what you can expect from chiropractic.
Our job is to give you all the information you need to make an informed decision about what to do for achieving your health goals.
So I have a question for you – How can we help you and your family achieve your health goals?
